Mark Moore Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibit of new work by Mark Bennett.
Mark Bennett uses the same cast of characters from his series of blueprints of the television homes of families such as the Bradys, the Flintstones, and Lucy and Ricky Ricardo in a new series of unique works on paper. In these new drawings, Bennett imagines scenes such as Bewitched star Samantha Stevens gracing the cover of the one hundred dollar bill, while concurrently plotting in loving detail the geographical movements of America’s favorite television stars as they fictionally moved to different cities across the United States during their television run.
Mark Bennett has been included in many museum and gallery group exhibitions, including a major show at the Corcoran Gallery Of Art, Washington, D.C. (Mark Bennett: TV Sets and The Suburban Dream), which traveled to Cleveland Center For Contemporary Art, Cleveland, Ohio; and the Aldrich Museum Of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, Connecticut. Inclusion in other exhibitions have included the Nevada Institute of Contemporary Art; the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis); and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Made in California: 1900 - 2000.
